Our purpose is to support the development of new and existing business enterprises on Vancouver Island. We do this by providing commercial financing to Indigenous entrepreneurs and First Nation community owned businesses, funding feasibility studies and business plans, and working with clients to increase their business capacity and management skills. Every client receives a dedicated Business Development Officer to guide you through our application processes and provide on-going business and financial advice.
At NEDC we believe that everyone has gifts to share in contributing towards a brighter future for all Indigenous peoples. All pathways are honoured and we recognize that no two entrepreneurial journeys are the same.

NEDC has loan funds available with flexible terms, interest rates, repayment options, and requirements. Our Business Development Officers (BDO) have expertise in developing the best funding package for you.

NEDC has partnered with several organizations to offer Indigenous entrepreneurs with non-repayable contributions which have specific requirements and may have limited funds available. Our Business Development Officers (BDO) have expertise in developing the best funding package for you.
